Kevin is a life-long resident of Michigan, having been born and raised in the Detroit area. He attended Oakland University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. From there he enrolled in the University of Detroit-Mercy law program. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2004.
 
While attending school, Kevin worked in his family’s machine tool distributorship. He started out in the warehouse and worked his way up to Corporate Treasurer and director of Human Resources. 
 
In January 2005, Kevin partnered with a University of Detroit-Mercy classmate to form Johnson and Wilk, PLLC.
 
Kevin is married. Even though he has no children, he has two dogs and one cat that keeps his home life interesting. He is active in his church as a religious instructor. He participates as a living historian in the area and also gives history lectures in the local schools.
